On my usual visit to my favorite Creative Director on the Marketing floor of XYZ company years ago, she once remarked that one of her subordinates not merely more than 22 years of age, had a gentle, old soul. I somehow pictured an old man trapped in a youthful body or an unmatched maturity.
Hence, wandering around Uptown’s recent Vintage Bazaar, I stumbled upon a very unique vintage jewelry company named ‘Altered Ever After’ with a small yet buzzing crowd around their tiny outdoor booth. At first glance, I was not really swayed. It just looked like a bunch of metallic strewn together. However, when I got closer, it was truly stunning. The independent brand recycles vintage watches and uses the parts to create unique eye catching necklaces and chains with inspirational words among other knick knacks. I saw about 15 heart shaped necklaces hanging on the shelves. They seemed like one of a kind with a collector type of feel. After leaving the booth, I realized that it was the only rare gem in the entire Bazaar and suddenly those 15 hearts became 4 hearts when I returned.
